Complete guide to using the University of Dhaka Scholarship Application System
Getting Started
Login to the System
- Navigate to the home page
- Enter your User ID and Password
- Click the Login button
- Upon successful login, you will be redirected to your dashboard
Note: If you don't have login credentials, please contact your department administrator.
Dashboard Overview
The dashboard is your central hub showing all application sections and their completion status:
- Basic Information * - Your personal details and contact information
- Educational Background * - Your academic qualifications
- Professional Career (DU) * - Your work experience at University of Dhaka
- Professional Career (Other) - Your work experience outside University of Dhaka
- Publication - Your research publications and scholarly works
- Secured Admission - Your secured university admissions and scholarships
- Guarantor Information * - Information about two guarantors
Mandatory Sections: Sections marked with * must be completed before you can print your application form.
Completing Your Application
Step 1: Basic Information *
- Click on Basic Information from the dashboard
- Fill in all required fields including name, father's name, mother's name, date of birth, etc.
- Upload a recent passport-size photograph:
- Accepted formats: JPG, JPEG, or PNG
- Maximum file size: 300KB
- If your image is larger than 300KB, an easy-to-use crop tool will automatically open
- Use the crop tool to resize and adjust quality until the file size is under 300KB
- The tool shows real-time file size with color indicators (green ✓ = acceptable)
- Provide your contact details and addresses
- Click Save & Next: Education to proceed
Step 2: Educational Background *
- Click the Add New button to add each educational qualification
- Enter details for SSC, HSC, Bachelor, Masters, PhD, etc.
- Provide board/university name, institute, result, and passing year
- You can Edit or Delete existing records
- Use Back: Basic Info or Next: DU Experience buttons to navigate
Step 3: Professional Career (DU) *
- Add your professional experience at University of Dhaka
- Click Add New and select position (Professor, Associate Professor, etc.)
- Select department/institute from the dropdown
- Provide from date and to date (or check "Currently Working")
- Specify appointment type and appointment against
Step 4: Professional Career (Other)
- Add your professional experience outside University of Dhaka (optional)
- Enter position, institution name, and duration
- You can add multiple experience records
Step 5: Publication
- Add your research publications (optional)
- Select publication type (Journal Article, Conference Paper, Book, etc.)
- Enter publication details in CV format
- You can use basic formatting in the text editor
Step 6: Secured Admission
- Add information about secured university admissions (optional)
- Enter university name, field of study, and country
- Specify scholarship percentage and duration if applicable
Step 7: Guarantor Information *
- Provide information for exactly two guarantors (all fields mandatory)
- Enter name, father's name, mother's name for each guarantor
- Provide affiliation, email, and contact number
- Enter present and permanent addresses
- Click Save & Next: Dashboard when complete
Navigation Tips
- Dashboard Button: Click this button from any page to return to the dashboard
- Back/Next Buttons: Use these at the bottom of each page to navigate between sections
- Save Buttons: All save buttons are green for consistency
- Add New Buttons: All add new buttons are yellow/orange for easy identification
- Progress Indicator: Check your dashboard to see how many sections are completed
Printing and Submission
- Complete All Mandatory Sections: Ensure all sections marked with * are completed
- Review Your Information: Go through each section and verify all details are correct
- Print Application Form:
- Return to the dashboard
- Click the Print button (enabled only after completing mandatory sections)
- A new window will open with your application form
- Use your browser's print function (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P)
- Sign the Application: Print the form and affix your signature in the designated area
- Submit to Registrar: Submit the signed application to the Registrar, University of Dhaka through your Chairman/Director
Important: The Print button will remain disabled until all mandatory sections are completed with sufficient data.

Tips and Best Practices
- Save Regularly: Click the save button after entering information in each section
- Use Valid Data: Ensure dates are in correct format and email addresses are valid
- Photo Upload: Use a clear, recent passport-size photograph with plain background. The system accepts images up to 300KB. If your image is larger, use the built-in crop tool to adjust the size and quality. The crop tool displays real-time file size with color indicators to help you meet the requirement.
- Double Check: Review all information before printing, as corrections after submission may be difficult
- Browser Compatibility: Use modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge) for best experience
- Logout: Always logout after completing your session for security
Troubleshooting
Common Issues and Solutions:
- Print button is disabled
- Complete all mandatory sections (marked with *) before the print button becomes active.
- Cannot upload photo
- Ensure your photo is in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format. The system accepts images up to 300KB. For larger images, a crop tool will automatically appear to help you resize the image.
- Photo still too large after cropping
- In the crop tool, try: (1) Reducing the quality slider below 85%, (2) Cropping a smaller area, or (3) Uploading a smaller resolution image from your device.
- Form data not saving
- Check that all required fields are filled correctly. Look for validation error messages.
- Lost your password
- Contact your department administrator to reset your password.
- Cannot see recent changes
- Try refreshing your browser (F5 or Ctrl+R) to see the latest updates.
